recommended games to try

What are some good 3d games to try in Fedora 9? I would like to limit results to games that are in the Fedora repository. 3d stuff like shooters and simulators would be cool. Any recommendations?

I've moved this over to "Gamers Lounge" where you might find more answers

Also adjusted the spelling of one word in your post...

3d games in the official Fedora repos?

Seriously... nothing comes to mind off the top of my head. I don't think there are any 3d games in the repos.

one more but it is a source build "Brutal Chess" 3d chess game
http://sourceforge.net/projects/brutalchess/#item3rd-2
i like it except for the black background and the black pieces
i did a small hack to change the background to dark gray and no more problem seeing the black pieces
Screen Shots
http://sourceforge.net/project/scree...roup_id=139550

hack for brutalchess.cpp
Code:
brutalchess-0.5.2/src/brutalchess.cpp
-- line 64 change to --
glClearColor(0.2f, 0.2f, 0.2f, 0.2f);
-- or --
glClearColor(0.3f, 0.3f, 0.3f, 0.3f);
-- for a lighter gray --

Not in repositories, but great fun and still extremely popular: Wolfenstein Enemy Territory
Livna has Tremulous and Alien Arena.

i am beginning to think people have been falling for the web money $$ scam
of registering on sites for cash put into a paypal account that you set up and they have access to ,and of course the scamee sends them the user names and passwords of the sites they sign up at .But of course no cash is ever put in to that paypal account .
