Picasa 3 beta

Hot on the heels of the Picasa 2 beta comes... the Picasa 3 beta! You'll notice from another thread that Google stuff is beta ad infinitum

Will the Picasa 3 beta for Linux be native this time or still run on Wine...?

Ahh, perpetual betas from google. Clever way to excuse any glitches, eh?

Edit: Tried it out on the Vista box. Faster loading than p2, a few added features. At first glance it is much improved.

In order to keep the same functionality regardless of the OS, I expect to have it on Wine. Otherwise, I's hard or pretty much impossible to catch up on Linux. Remember Skype, as a sole example...

Just for the record, it runs very well in Wine-F9x86_64 There's no way Google could have achieved such a level of speed and refinement on Linux in such a short time.
