Wireless connects and drops secure networks (broadcom)

Hello all,
I am frustrated... I have installed Fedora9 on my Dell Latitude 620. It has a Broadcom wireless card.
When I am connected to a unsecured wireless network all seems fine. But when I connect to my home secured wireless it will connect and even work for a bit, then disconnect, then reconnect and disconnect.

This is driving me nuts, when I used Ubuntu 7x & 8.04 it worked fine. I dunno if it is because of the driver that Ubuntu was installing or what but I really would like to use Fedora.

Anyone have a clue of what it could be?

Most of us who use broadcom cards with Fedora don't have that sort of problem with encrypted networks. I don't with my 4318 and WPA encryption.

Are you using the b43 driver or ndiswrapper?

Which broadcom card do you have, running:

/sbin/lspci

will probably tell us that.

If you are using b43 which firmware did you cut?

I assume you are using NetworkManager, what sort of signal level is it showing and how far are you from the access point?

b43 driver

Here is what I did...
yum -y update b43-fwcutter
sed -i 's/blacklist bcm43xx/#blacklist bcm43xx/g' /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist

tar xjf broadcom-wl-4.150.10.5.tar.bz2

b43-fwcutter -w /lib/firmware wl_apsta_mimo.o

rm -rf broadcom-wl-4.150.10.5

Full all 4-5 bars, I am in the same room and the wireless router.
