Useful GUI network tools wanted

I know some network stuff but I'm often used MS$ / Windows tools ...

Is there any GUI for a "network toolbox" e.g where you can get most of all the useful network information you could possibly want?

I am looking for tools that would let me to:

1. View and set hostname + domain info
2. View (and manage) all PC's on your local LAN
3. Execute common tasks, such as PING, NETBIOS NAME, WHOIS etc etc

By the way, I've got FC2 if that would help

KNetworkConf might be of some use, you can find it here. It's only a suggestion, I've not used it personally.

Dig through the System Tools menu to see if any of the apps there are sufficient. You alsa might want to look at the gkrelllm package. Google will find it.
For hostname stuff run redhat-config-network.

FOr LAN management, FC2 -test1 now included a Computer icon on the desktop you can use.

Webmin might be nice for you

Webmin might be nice for you. It doesn't actually do what you specifically ask for unless you install the networking module. Bottom line is that you can do most sysadmin tasks through the browser. I use it for some jobs because it's what they want me to use, but I'd rather use the command line tools any day. Still, it'll get you started and ease the transition.
