Clear History

Hi,

I want to ask how to clear history of recent opened file for gedit and find files.

Also something wrong with the Dictionary Preferences. When I edit one of the source and click the close button, it will clone another link exactly as the one before. And I cannot delete it with the remove button. I want to ask where is that configuration saved?

Gedit stores its file history in ~/.gnome2/gedit-metadata.xml

Don't know if there's an option to clear the history from the editor itself - I don't use it.

Gnome dictionary files are probably in ~/.gnome2/gnome-dictionary/

What about Find for files history? is it recorded somewhere?

I also have a problem when shutting down or reboot. Most of the time it will hang with blank screen when i do shut down or reboot or switching terminal. What is wrong? I quess it had to do with video setting?
