Hello:
You could just use something like
http://rapidshare.com/index.html
for your initial hosting requirements.

Sounds awesome! I will install and test this weekend, away from home for a few days now unfortunately.
A few questions though, can you provide any background on how you got this compiled? The xbmc forums show a number of issues with compiling and I haven't tried myself for a while. Would be nice to get this running in fedora though I don't want to change to ubuntu just for ease of xbmc support. I will post back here when I get it going.
Has anyone else given this a go yet?

I installed this last night.
XBMC runs nicely appart from 2 fairly significant problems.
My mysql is now broken. It will not accept any connections now. I will look into it tonight and see if i can get it working again. Edmune, did you have any problems with mysql?
2ndly I was unable to get sources added to xbmc. When i go to the add source dialogue it only allows me to add my home directory and another partition where i currently have no data stored. I cannot see my partition where I have most of my data stored this is mounted at /video/ and is a jfs mounted mdadm raid5. I don't see why xbmc would have a problem accessing this. Any ideas how I add this source? Is this a problem with this compile or an xbmc issue?
Cheers,
Chris

After working with the xbmc team I was able to get changes made to the source code that allowed it to compile without issue after making the changes listed here: http://xbmc.org/forum/showthread.php...ghlight=fedora
One of the requirements is that you make a symlink for sql.

I currently do not have a f9 system running so it is not going to happen.

See here for the SQL issue http://xbmc.org/forum/showthread.php...ghlight=fedora
As far as adding sources the navigation is kind of weird but I promise you it can be done. Just select '..' in the navigation window until you get to the root.

Sorry I do not have a f9 machine running currently, let alone a i386 system running.
If I had a repo to host the builds I would consider making a couple VMs to maintain the rpm builds.

Edmun,
Can you pass your src rpm or SPEC file? I was about to write one when I came across this, I'll host anything you want if you like as well. This is a great app and I'd love to see more fedora users with it.
I can compile for F9 32&64 as well as F9 32
My current write up on building from source is @ http://fedorajunkies.com/index.php/XBMC

I am sorry but do not have the spec file anymore. There wasn't much to it and I can help you if you have trouble.
