Core 3 fresh install (second time) Problems

Can anyone tell me what this is in messages and dmesg?

I see the above repeatedly with normal entries every now and then.

Also Japanese input still does not work. I had it working with Core 2 for a short time then it broke and now it still will not work with Core 3. I have done a fresh install twice so far and nothing else installed.

Plus what is up with up2date. I know it has been almost unusable but now in Core 3 it is down right pathetic. I know, switch to yum or apt. I will as soon as these other problems are taken care of. No sense in updating a system if it doesn't do what I need it to do.
