Promise RAID and FC2

Does anyone know how to install FC2 on a Promise RAID. My chipset is the PDC20276. There are drivers available on the Promise website, but these are for Linux 2.4. I've been reading sorta that the drivers where integrated into the 2.6 kernel. Can anyone give me any information on this?
