Wireless Not Connecting After Fedora Core 9 Major Update.

So I did some searching around these forums, and found a post from a couple years ago that had a similar but not exactly the same issue, with no clear resolution, so I'm hoping asking again isn't going to get me into too much trouble.

I just installed Fedora Core 9 on an older machine (2002), just because I wasn't doing anything with it and had never tried linux before. It installed fine, and worked without a hitch, including my wireless card. I connected on the first try, and downloaded the major security and other such updates it suggested.

After doing this and rebooting, the wireless card will no long connect to my wireless network. It picks up the networks fine, but won't connect no matter what I try. I'm assuming something from the update is causing this problem, but I haven't the first idea where to look or how to fix it.

Does anyone know what could be the issue?

Hello:
It might help if you could post some details regarding the [hardware] type of network card etc. that you have.

RALink RT2500 802.11g Cardbus/min-PCI

That's what it says in the Network area.
I'll list the stats of my computer, though I doubt there's any relevance...

AMD Athlon 1.7ghz CPU
1256 DDR Ram
300gb HD

Not sure what else you could want to know... the funny thing is, I'm online on the machine now, after having to install Fedora Core 9 again to be able to get online. I'm downloading the update in question again, and hoping to figure out the issue before I restart and it stops working again, haha.
