Nautilus display files

Hi all
i must be losing it or something but i booted a f10 live cd yesterday, and when i went to view home directory, it showed the number of files in a folder
as well as the name, but can i work out how to do it, or repeat it, not me , im sure its simple anyone know how?

If you're using Icon View (something I never do, personally) you can get that by going to Edit, Preferences, Display and selecting size as one of the things you want shown below the icon. For list view, it's on the next tab over.

Thanks i looked there about 4 times, too much hombrew i reckon gonna have to lay off it(one day )
