I'm trying to get Abiword to install on my less-than-stellar laptop, but I have a dependency issue. I need libnautilus.so.2 and this is part of the nautilus-2.2.1-5 package. But, I don't want the whole package--I don't use Gnome (Fluxbox for me) and I would like to save as much drive space as possiblle. Is there a way to get just the file I need and have Abiword work? Or will this situation turn into dependency hell where the libnautilus.so.2 needs something and so on and so on down the circle?
One note: Laptop is not online and I'm trying to do this without the ever-handy apt/yum stuff.
Related quesiton: Is there a way to uninstall parts of the openoffice package hile keeping others. In particular I would like to get rid of everything except the writer and spreadsheet apps (if I can get Abiword to work I might not even need the writer).
Thanks for everything!
