fedora scheduler function 2.4.23

Hi guys,

I need to know more about scheduler function for fedora core 2.4.3 since properly i will need to modify
or replace the current fedora core 2.4.3 scheduler on my computer, I wonder if someone can tell
me where to look for fedora scheduler 2.4.3,

Since i try to look it up on the internet, but I can't find it (usually it just gives me the scheduler of some
other linux system, such as red hat, etc...)

thanks alot

Do you mean a scheduler that runs things at certain times like cron and anacron or tools to manipulate the process scheduler?

description of Scheduler

Acctually, the scheduler function under /linux/kernel/sched.c

What this function do, is schedule any process in the ready queue,
For example, You have 3 process running, First process is Internet explorer, second process is Command shell, third process is mplayer,

Then the scheduler will schedule which process should execute first, and which one, will get the most CPU time and in how long,

But when i read the code in the sched.c, it's pretty much confuse me, so I wonder if there is any documentation
on the schedule function, So i can understand about it more,

thanks alot

THat file seems to be pretty well commented to me. I don't know anything about kernel schedulers, but if you do know about kernels, you shouldn't have too much trouble following the code.
