fc8 stuff on fc9

I have all this stuff from fc8 on my fc9
is it possible to remove them in one go?

i tried yum remove *.fc8* but it sets up to remove fc9 stuff as well which I do not want to do.

i tried update but i get the message that nothing needs to be updated.

I wouldn't worry about it, as the packages just haven't had their tags updated for one reason or another. I can't find the official memo/information regarding this, but there was one at one time ( I think )
