Thumbs up Determining Ip Error

Running Gnome Fc9, during the boot up process it shows Determining IP for Eth0 failed; no link present,
Failed, also Error for Wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06). I have the Ethernet connected as well as Wireless.
Any thoughts I would appreciated it.

are you using a laptop or a desktop? i know i used to have a problem with laptops using pcmcia slots because the pcmcia slot wasn't setup before the ethernet attempted to use it. thats unlikely these days.

do you have more than one eth? i know some motherboards have 2 even though only one physical port may be available. in this instance you would have an eth0 and an eth1.

if you go to a terminal window (assuming you're not at the console) and "su -" to root, type "ifconfig" and press enter. it will then list all your network interface connections.
