the windows software spywareblaster can be found here : http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html
why do you ask in a linux forum? A linux alternative for it is a programm called chrootkit. It is not exactly the same, but it doesn't hurt to run it.
spyware removers for linux (that detect spyware for windows) would really make a lot of sense, especially if you're running a mail/file-server that serves windows machines..
Hi there I read the post and wanted to say that there is a Linux AV called MKS_VIR 2004 for linux and this is what our company uses it is very good I use it for windows XP and I had no problems. I think that the website is http://www.stormbyte.com This AV scans SAMBA, EMAIL, etc... I would think that it would be hard to setup this type of software do to linux how hard that is to use.....
Okay, number 1, linux has a totally different filesystem. If a windows virus get on to your computer there is no "c:" it's "/". Therefore there isn't any place for the virus to run because the virus doesn't know what directory it is in. number 2, it is different binary so your computer doesn't know what it is saying.
Linux viruses aren't common because not that many people have linux, people that make viruses go for where the people are. Also most people that have linux are good with computers. I mean most people that own a computer with linux on it are people that are experenced with computers. Old people and computer illiterit people don't have linux.
