Asus F3Sr Intel HD audio not working in Fedora 9

Hello guys,

after new install and yum update my audio is still not working. I have Asus F3SR with :
$ /sbin/lspci -vvv|grep -i audio
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 02)

So far i have found work-around here http://justinconover.com/blog/2008/0...a-9-and-sound/

Questions?

1) Is there different approach to solve this problem (without ATrpms repo?)
2) Any chance it will be fixed? Where is the problem? ... In kernel?

And offtopic?

1) Does anyone know where fedora 9 ATI drivers will be available on livna? .. So far i am using work-around with X from Fedora 8

Thanks in advace!
