Creating a custom live-cd

Hey guys, I'm trying to install F8 on my EeePC from a livecd that was put on a usb drive, but the problem is that F8 is requiring 4GB of free space for the install, and I have just under that.

F8 comes pre-installed with a lot of apps that I really dont need on this laptop and was wondering if there was a way to create a live cd that would install F8 without all the additional apps and allow me to add them later as needed
