getting games

Is it possible to get some of these games Like Wolfenstein or doom or any cool game through a yum repo?

Yes. You can get many cool games through Yum. But dont expect to get games that you would have to buy in Windows for free just because you use Linux. There are a couple great threads in this forum for games that are available.

I would not expect to get games I would have to buy. But I went through both pages of the gamers lounge and did not find any threads.

So would you know any cool games I could download through yum?

Sorry, the good threads have been pushed off the index due to time. I wish a manager would sticky this one:

as it has the most useful info, though slightly dated. If you use the search box on the top bar and use the key words "game thread" you will come up with much more than what the index shows. Tweak the search words for better results.
