Gnome Desktop Icons

Does anybody knows how to take the Gnome desktop icons out. I don't like to have icons on my son's pictures and I'm trying to make my desktop clean of it. I know that on KDE I can do it but I prefer to use the Gnome.

Thanks.
Danny

You need to have gconf-editor installed. Open the configuration editor an go to apps/nautilus/desktop then uncheck the icons you don't want.

Thanks Terry I'll ask my husband to do this, I don't want to make a mess on the computer.
