RPC idmapd failed at boot of F9

My RPC idmapd has now failed on booting F9, the message being :

RPC idmapd : libnfsidmap : unable to determine a default nfsv4 domain ;
consider specifying one in idmapd.conf

rpc.idmapd : Unable to create name to user id mappings.

This does not seem to cause any user problems so far.
Would someone take me through the steps of specifying a default nfsv4 domain
in idmapd.conf if this suggestion is genuinely a good idea.

I just made up a name and put the line
Code:
Domain = localdomain
in my /etc/idmapd.conf

So, the followup question is for anyone with experience setting up proper NFS, is the NFS domain important in a simple (home) network?

Thanks Archo for your reply.So far I've tried your suggestion and a few similar
to it in the idmapd.conf file but without success.The beginning commentary
for this file says there should be a Domain = local.domain.edu
Using nano as root I have simply been tacking this sort of line on the
bottom of the file,sometimes with a # beforehand (but won't that mean
it is ignored?).

I've tried Domain = localdomain
#Domain = localdomain
Domain = local.domain
Domain = local.domain.edu

Am I missing something ?

I think the Domain = xxx line needs to be in the [General] section of the file, so adding it at the bottom probably won't have the intended effect. Try putting it after the line [General] and make sure that there isn't a # at the start of the line.

Thanks Manojeffect and Archo.
Mislocating the new line within the file clearly won't do I see.
I presume the line was there beforehand but got wiped out somehow.
Does anyone know how to avoid this happening in the first place
or is this sort of trifle par for the course on cutting edge distros and
would not be worth the grief of further analysis ?

I don't know much but today when I restart my linux box I find that nfs server was not working. rpcbind says some libgssapi library is missing. I installed it. yet not got me server up. then I saw in idmap.conf that there is # in fornt of Domain in General section. I removed and restart nfs service and it get restarted

I came across this problem too. Removing the # from in front of the domain line seems to have solved the problem. Bit irritating though. Why should this have changed?
