iwl3945 & kernel 2.6.25.9-40.fc8

Hi,
I have a fedora 8 on a notebook. My problem started yesterday when I upgraded from kernel 2.6.25.6-25.fc8 to 2.6.25.9-40.fc8. There is a solution to use again my wireless with new kernel?

Same information from dmesg:
Code:

This looks very similar to a problem that us Fedora 9 users are having, see http://forums.fedoraforum.org/forum/...d.php?t=193296.

I suspect the solution is to use the old kernel for now, and hope the next one fixes the problem.

Hi, I had the same thing yesterday,
i've upgraded the fedora 8 kernel from 2.6.25.6-27.fc8 to 2.6.25.9-40.fc8
and my wifi did not longer work.
The networkmanagers finds the networks, but when I try to connect it is as if the password is not ok
and asks me again for the wpa shared secret.
Rebooting the same laptop under vista works with wifi fine.
Then I suspected it was due to the kernel upgrade, and in the bootloader I've selected the old kernel
and it works again
Hope it will be fixed in the next kernel !

fedora 8 or 9 kernel upgrade wifi does not work

the system log shows dhclient dhcp timeout on my fedora 9 I686 with intel wifi 465 chipset

rebooting with old kernel works fine
migrating from fedora 8 to 9 resolved temporarily the problem
but again after upgrading the kernel to 2.6.25.9 on i686 => the same problem

then I've downloaded and installed a new kernel 2.6.25.10-87.fc9.i686
and all works fine now !!

download the kernel from here
