Wireless Intel 3945 with Kernel 2.6.25.9-76.fc9.i686

    Hello!

Maybe this happens to some of you, I don't know.
The fact is that since the last kernel actualization (2.6.25.9-76.fc9.i686) I cannot connect to my WPA wifi network. If I try with other version (2.6.25.6-55.fc9.i686) connects without problem.

I don't know if its a general problem or only mine. If any of you with a Intel 3945 ABG card experience the same problem, please post!

    Thank you in advance!

    David

I have the same problem, Lenovo T61p and kernel 2.6.25.9.fc9.i686.PAE If I look in the /var/log/messages it shows that it fails for the dhclient.

    edit: also iwl3945

Going back to 2.6.25.6-55.fc9.i686.PAE solves it.

I guess that i have a "me too"

when i just upgraded to 2.6.25.9-76.fc9.i686 my wireless networking stopped working.

    using driver - iwl3945

it works fine when i go back to my old kernel - 2.6.25.6-55.fc9.i686

oops - hope that it gets fixed soon

    iwl3945 working

I just got the new kernel. We'll see how my wireless (iwl3945) responses after the reboot. Be back in a few minutes...

    It's working...

OK, so I'm not alone with my Acer 5920 (with Intel Wireless 4965AGN) and the new kernel 2.6.25.9-76.

Booting with previous version 2.6.25.6-55 everything works normal. Somehow there is a problem in the last stage of connection to the WLAN. Both lights on the animated Network-Manager icon go green, but after that nothing happens.

    Hope this gets fixed soon.

It doesn't see to be a general thing or I would have thought we would have heard more complaints by now. However, I can add a Broadcom 4306 using the b43 driver to the list.

Same problem, using iwl3945 on a Dell Inspiron 6400.

Re-booting has no effect so currently booting with the previous kernel.

I have added info to Bugzilla Bug no 453882.

This seems to be a case-by-case basis. Mine is fine.

    Hi,

I am seeing the same issue.

    Lenovo X60
    Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG
    iwl4965-firmware-4.44.1.20-1.noarch
    NetworkManager

Under kernel 2.6.25.9-76.fc9.i686 WPA connection fails, under 2.6.25.6-55.fc9.i686 it all works fine.

    Thanks,
    Graham

Can you make a test using WEP?? I'll do if I have more time and also I'll recheck the log. As said, it fails dhclient. Maybe using a static IP solves it.
