howto install 32 lib on Fedora 9 x86_64?

Hi,

I'm trying to install vmware server 1.0.6.
When I run the setup I get this error:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
The correct version of one or more libraries needed to run VMware Server may be
missing. This is the output of ldd /usr/bin/vmware:
linux-gate.so.1 => (0x00110000)
libm.so.6 => /lib/libm.so.6 (0x008b2000)
libdl.so.2 => /lib/libdl.so.2 (0x00a2b000)
libpthread.so.0 => /lib/libpthread.so.0 (0x00bc1000)
libX11.so.6 => /usr/lib/libX11.so.6 (0x00cf2000)

libxcb.so.1 => /usr/lib/libxcb.so.1 (0x00136000)
libXau.so.6 => /usr/lib/libXau.so.6 (0x00152000)
libXdmcp.so.6 => /usr/lib/libXdmcp.so.6 (0x00df5000)
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I've found that this problem could depend on the lack of the 32-bit version of libc and other X windows library.

On Ubuntu I could use this command to install that libs:
apt-get install ia32-libs

On redHat 4.o I could use this commands:
# up2date -i "@Compatibility Arch Development Support"
# up2date -i "@Compatibility Arch Support"

Which command should I use on Fedora 9 to get the same?

Thanks

LuKe

Code:
yum install libXtst.i386
The ldd output shows that all other necessary libraries are already installed.

As this seems to be a common problem:

Edit your "/etc/yum.conf" file and add "multilib_policy=all". Afterwards you should be able to install the i386 version of libXtst. ("yum install libXtst.i386") Finally I would suggest removing the multilib_policy parameter from your yum.conf...

At a certain point (not sure if it happened in F10 or F11), the extension for 32-bit packages changed from .i386 to .i586 -- So try:
Code:
yum install <PACKAGE NAME>.i586
Some packages are .i686, but the majority will be .i586
