synaptics driver help ***Solved***

I installed the fglrx drivers using these directions http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=189227
and installed the synaptics driver for my touchpad. Now X won't start and says "could not find driver synaptics".
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Install synaptics and libsynaptics

I had the same error, and then installed 'synaptics' and 'libsynaptics'.
After that, I got the following error:

(II) Loading /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/input//synaptics_drv.so
dlopen: /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/input//synaptics_drv.so: undefined symbol: GetMotionHistory
(EE) Failed to load /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/input//synaptics_drv.so
(II) UnloadModule: "synaptics"
(EE) Failed to load module "synaptics" (loader failed, 7)
(EE) No Input driver matching `synaptics'

Is this an error caused by the downgrade X server?

Bassinator, can you run:

Code:
sudo yum install synaptics libsynaptics
and see if you can duplicate my error?

**Solved**
Okay, I downloaded and installed the F8 packages for *synaptics and that resolved the issue.
I now have scrolling, tapping, etc

No problem just glad it works -- a mouse pad is almost useless to me without edge scrolling
