You could su -l (become root) in the terminal and type: rpm -e hpijs

kk just making sure .. do fedora knows i want to uninstall hpijs ? i mean i typed rpm -e hpijs and waited a few seconds .. then nothing happened

Code:
[root@localhost root]# rpm -e hpijs
[root@localhost root]#
is that normal?

well, how is that possible that the fedora os can simply delete all hp driver when i only tell it to uninstall the hpijs word? im used to winxp .. an uninstaller program being provided by a driver or program itself .. uninstall and done. heh well basicially, what im trying to say is that i dont think that fedora did uninstall all files related to the hpijs driver.

rpm doesn't say anything when erasing something, but it's gone. See if it's there:
Code:
rpm -q hpijs
Basically what you did is tell rpm to erase all files from the package and remove it from the database. It's like an uninstaller, but it uses the rpm program. Kind of like Windows machines have Windows installer with extension .msi.
