Network Servers Problem

Browsing network servers no longer works for me after updating Samba-common and installing Samba-client and Samba.

I can use the command-line tool smbclient withour problems, other machines can browse my machines samba shares as well.

When I go to Network Servers, my workgroup shows up...i double-click on it and it shows all the local machines, but when I try to open one of them up I get a dialog saying Opening Machine XXX. With a cancel button. Then it just times out.

If I type in the location bar smb://workgroup/server it says that it can't find a viewer to open it.

Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem too. No servers apear in the Network Servers window, however direct connection works. I have samba 3.0.4-2 and I have not got iptables running so no firewall. smbclient does work and shows all the machines in the network. I am not and the master browser in the network, and don't want to be.

Anybody worked out whats wrong with this?
