    Thumbs down Bluetooth networking

I have recently upgraded from Fedora 8 to 9 and am able to browse files on my phone (N95) using gnome bluetooth. I am able to copy from the phone to the PC but not transfer from the PC to the phone.

    This worked in Fedora 8.

When I drop a file onto a phone folder I get 'Error while copying "myFile". There was an error copying the file into obex://[XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX]/E:/Documents. Operation not supported by backend'.

Anyone else come across this? The only google reference I can find is
    http://forums.fedora-fr.org/viewtopic.php?pid=271942

My French is ok, but more use for being a tourist than a techie. From what I can gather from this fedora 8 was running Nautilus 2.20 and Fedora 9 is running Nautilus 2.22.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Thanks

I guess we are on the same page here:

It's been a month already and still haven't found the solution for this problem.

    Not quite the same problem.

You are describing problems sending files to the phone using obex-send, wheras my problem is writing them with nautilus and obex-ftp.

The problem does seem to be associated with nautilus 2.22, it also appears to affect ubuntu.

I read on my research that the problem might be related to symbian OS on the phone since most of the users who have this problem are using Nokia phone. Anyway, I also encounter your problem with the addition of my other problem on the other thread. So we are both waiting for this to be resolved.

An old thread to resurrect, but I have to.

It works, its been fixed. I have tried before with Fedora 11, but it must have been in some recent updates.

I have just been able to browse my phone using gnome-bluetooth and drop an mp3 onto the phone and it worked.
