NetworkManager not setting up additional static route

I want to add a static route on my F9 system so I have it to the eth0 device through the system-config-network dialog and it was saved correctly into /etc/sysconfig/networking/profiles/default/route-eth0.

The problem is that NetworkManager does not add the route it when I change back to the system-eth0 connection,

Am I right in thinking that NM should do this since it does seem to get the other information from /etc/sysconfig/networking/profiles/default/ ?

Well I do need to switch between network connections and the desktop applet allows me to do this very quickly so I'd like to get it working.
