Temp directory in Fedora Live 9, automatically wiped at boot

I'm writing a script that creates temporary files, and I would like these files to be automatically deleted everytime I boot up.

I'm runing Fedora 9 Live on a USB key, with a persistant overlay (so changes/files are saved between boots).

Is there a directory where I can write files that will be automatically deleted upon reboot?

Thanks,
MD

YOU can delete the files at boot by entering the "rm" cmd in /etc/rc.d/rc.local .

/tmp used to do this (long ago) but now it timess-out files after many days (7 ? 14?).
