uninstalled all compiz-fusion stuff eradicate screen functions

Is there a way to restore my smoothly running system to the way it was before I got curious and installed compiz fusion? I installed the nvidia drivers yesterday and things are very good with those drivers, but tonight I installed compiz and it was not worth my tweaking time to stay on my sytem so I uninstalled all the components I installed through the rpm packager not in a terminal. Now my broswer is opening such that I cannot move it or resize it and the system is just not as responsive as it was before ...any thoughts? Much appreciated, Neil

Just another note...I read in another post that I should have disabled compiz before uninstalling. I have created a new user account and also tested in root to see if my working environment is alright and it is fine in other accounts..does this help in figuring how I can restore my account ? Thanks, Neil
