hi,

this is not sufficient information !
what return the ifconfig -a command ?
did you try to use the networkmanager ?
did you check the version of your hardware with lspci and checked if the module was correctly mounted with lsmod ?

send us more information !
best regards

Hi,

i think it's a probleme with ipv6 or selinux.

1. disable ipv6
http://www.vincentverhagen.nl/2007/0...v6-on-red-hat/
use /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf.dist , not /etc/modprob.conf

if this dosen't bring a solution you can disable selinux to.

2. disable selinux
vi /etc/selinux/config
change SELINUX=enforce to SELINUX=disabled

hi ,

ok, if i see your ifcfg-eth0 configuration, it look like trying to use a static IPaddress.
some value look like badly configured :

check this up !

# nVidia Corporation MCP51 Ethernet Controller
DEVICE=eth0 #device reference
BOOTPROTO=static #how to get IP address , i put static in case you don't use dhcp server
HWADDR=14:56:72:82:3BE
ONBOOT=yes
HOSTNAME=localhost.localdomain #Pc hostname , have to be the same than in /etc/sysconfig/networks
NM_CONTROLLED=no
IPADDR=172.24.72.7
NETMASK=255.255.248.0
GATEWAY=172.24.79.254
TYPE=Ethernet

after this try :
ifdown eth0
ifup eth0

or

service network restart

best regards,

Permanently disable NetworkManager and permanently enable network and your devices should work as expected, at least that is what worked for me.

Do you have xen running? Your ifconfig output shows virb0 and pan0 (bluetooth, I think). What's more interesting is eth15!? Your ifcfg-eth0 file indicates eth0 as the device. Maybe this is why things are not functioning correctly.
