Why is mono in Fedora

Why when Fedora tries to be 'GPL correct' and excludes things like adobe flash and mp3 stuff does it include Mono

snip>
Moonlight is usable for anyone on any distribution of Linux (redhat, ubuntu, etc.) -- it is not limited just to Novell as Mono is.
Hope this helps.

So if mono is limited to Novell why is it in my Fedora 9 ? I am now very confused
Is it GPL ? and if it is why is MS saying things like the above ?

This topic has been well covered in previous threads:

http://forums.fedoraforum.org/forum/...highlight=mono

http://forums.fedoraforum.org/forum/...highlight=mono

These are just two and will explain everything to you. If you don't want Mono, then do as I do and:

yum remove libgdiplus

This will remove the infection. Anyway, thread closed.

Edit: Here, one more:

http://forums.fedoraforum.org/forum/...ht=mono+fedora

Just use the search for "mono in fedora"
