Angry install fc2 hangs at "formatting /boot" prompt

And before you ask, I mediachecked my CD's They are fine.

I boot from CD, install hangs in both graphical and text modes.

system is:
PIII 667MHz
ASUS P3V4X mobo
15GB HD
Intel 740 graphics AGP
512MB memory

it's like the installation hangs when anaconda reaches this step.
HD activity stops.

is there another OS in this machine? and are you using drake automatic partitioning or manual?

it used to have Win98 installed but i removed the partitions with fdisk before installing.

I tell the installer to remove all partitions and then let it automatically create new ones

Did anybody find a solution for this ? Am fixed with the same issue .

You could try booting from a Live CD and then erase everything. After that, let Fedora install the system but NOT formatting the partitions.
