Fedora Linux Sendmail questions

I have my log up when trying to send email in my lab setup. Have my Linux PC connected to GCCS machine. Able to ping back and forth fine, but getting Host lookup Failure. Deferred= and Relay= Server Name showing with "." at the end of it, which is wrong. Not included in any other portion of setup. How do get rid of it/Correct it to read correct server name. I've already checked host file and eth0 setup.
