[ Fedora8 ] Volume keys on R61 laptop doesnt work.

Hi guys,

Ive just installed FC8 on my Lenovo R61 laptop but they volume keys dont work. Does anyone know how to get them working?

Currently running kernel

2.6.24.7-92.fc8

Fully patched etc.

I would move to FC9 but the Nvidia driver problems are keeping me away from it for the time being.

Thanks
-G

If you are running gnome, then goto System->Preferences->Personal->Keyboard Shortcuts, select Volume Up/Down and press the required key combination.

If it's a FN key combination then that may not work, you may need to load the thinkpad_acpi module (as root)

Code:
su -
modprobe thinkpad_acpi
