Hi, John.
I've just closed this thread to posting, and am probably going to move it as well. Let me explain why, and add a few comments. However, let me post this first, so you have an explanation as to why your thread just went dead. I'll edit my remarks into the post.
First, know that you are not alone. Fedora 9 has proved to be the bloody example of the worst of a bleeding edge distro this time out, and indeed, from all the posts I see here on the forum, KDE 4.0 is a running train wreck. This was my first go-round with F9.

However, as I and the rest of the staff have stated ad-nausium, the developers don't monitor this forum. fedora forums and fedora project are actually two seperate ducks, although in many respects they work hand in hand. Fedora project developers have made it clear they want bugzilla and the mailing lists used as the community interaction points with the project. Therefore, that is the place to take these absolutely valid remarks and concerns.

There are several links in my signature block. Please consult them. I think your input would be quite valuable in the "How to complain ... thread." Please read it to get an idea of what we are after.
That being said, that location is where I am going to end up moving this thread, but I really want you to do the bugzilla, mailing list thing too. Otherwise, this will simply turn out to be a trolling event, and will end up succumbing to the fate all trolling posts meet.

By your tone and demeanor, you've proved a bit different, so that hammer hasn't fallen.
Still got a few things to say, but let me post this so you can see where I'm going with this.
Regarding the urging to try Ubuntu. Uh, at the risk of being driven out of town by barking dogs and angry villagers, for Pete's sake, try anything you want! Most of us not only understand where you're coming from here, but run more than one distro on a regular basis. I think I've got Ubuntu (Studio) Mandriva, Puppy 4.0, Debian Etch, FC6, F7, F8 and on one entertaining little HDD, Windows 3.11! <..

..>
The beauty of all this is, fedora runs such a short development cycle, if one version proves to be a bit too soaked in adrenaline, one doesn't have to wait long for a brand new batch of headaches! <..

So let me get this moved, and you can join the conversation there.
Dan
