Preupgrade File Cache

I upgraded from Fedora 8 to 9 using preupgrade; I would just like to know where preupgrade downloads its files to, as I would like to make sure it deleted all the temporary files after my successful upgrade. I noticed it didn't delete the anaconda boot image from my /boot partition, so I figured I better check everything else out too.

I'm not sure, but from what a friend told me it's saved under "/var/cache/yum/anaconda-upgrade/packages".

I checked and don't have that directory. Hopefully that means that preupgrade erased the packages it had downloaded after the upgrade completed.

Hi,

That's correct. It will erase the cache post-installation.
