deleting firefox 3 from fedora 9

Hi everybody!!!

Ive just installed new fedora 9 on my comp, but dont really like firefox 3 as it is very unstable.

How can I compleatly remove it from the system? I heard I have to delete all connected files (profiles, etc) to make later firefox 2 working properly.

Thanks for help.

Just out of curiosity, what stability difficulties are you having with firefox 3? I am not experiencing any stability issues with 3.0b5 and I use the browser extensively. That's not to say it does not have issues. I just am not experiencing any.

they are not big issues:
1. sometimes I have no response (its frozen for several sec)
2. few times application just close down without any reason.
3. I also couldnt find all extensions which I love to use with fx2.
Anyway, I am not a beta tester so I dont see any reason I should use beta software in (suppose) stable distro release

regards

Okay. I was just curious. I personally have no issues with response times or FF3 closing down abruptly. There are always those typically slow sites, such as this forum, that are slow to load but it's really no different than 2X was.

I agree with you concerning the extensions/add-ons. I suspect this will be the case until FF3 final is released. Fortunately I was able to find several extensions that work in 3.05b at the creator's sites. With a couple of others I guess I just have to wait.

Yeah FF3 is a beta in a (supposed) stable distro release. From what I heard ( a rumor?), the FF developers consider 3.05b to be production quailty.

I note a good number of things in F9 that are "incomplete" and in the works. As far as I am personally concerned F9 is actually just a beta for F10. We'll be keeping F8 on all our boxes here except for a couple of F9 test boxes. There's nothing in F9 that personally benefits us changing to it. I do find a good number of benefits in not changing though.
