Hi there,
I am not yet a Fedora user, but I'd like to know if YUM in F9 has the following features:
1. Does it support resuming of failed downloads? On IRC #fedora one users says yes, other says no. What backend does YUM use for downloading, curl, wget, something else?
2. Can YUM remove dependencies that were installed automatically for a requested package, if I later remove the package? For example, if I install program1, and it automatically installs lib1 and lib2, will it remember to remove lib1 and lib2 if I ask to remove program1? Or can I somehow make it keep track of this and tell it to remove them?
3. Has Presto delta rpms been integrated for F9, and are there repos that will provide delta rpms?
4. Are any of the above features available also when using PackageKit or Pirut?
Thanks for the help!
