I'm having trouble getting an USB card to work on my old T30. I have two different PCMCIA cards and neither of them work.
If I insert Belkin F5U222, the system identifies only that a CardBus card has been inserted. "pccard: CardBus card inserted into slot 0" is the exact message I get when looking at it with dmesg.
The other card is a Gembird 4 port card. If I insert that, everything looks fine, but when I tried to copy from a USB stick to the computer, the system froze completely and I had to shut down the system by pressing the power key.
The main reason I bought a USB card in the first place is that the T30 only has the older and slower USB 1.1 ports in it and although they work fine, they are very slow.
Any help you can give me would be appreciated. Oh yeah, and I'm running Fedora 9, in case that makes a difference
