Hello!

I use the livna.repo file from Fedora 8.
/etc/yum.repos.d/livna.repo
Works fine, but no gpg check, or need gpg import.
Like this:
Code:
[livna]
name=Livna for Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch - Base
baseurl=
	http://rpm.livna.org/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/
	http://livna.cat.pdx.edu/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/
	http://wftp.tu-chemnitz.de/pub/linux/livna/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/
	http://ftp-stud.fht-esslingen.de/pub/Mirrors/rpm.livna.org/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/
	http://mirror.atrpms.net/livna/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/
	ftp://mirrors.tummy.com/pub/rpm.livna.org/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/
failovermethod=priority
#mirrorlist=http://rpm.livna.org/mirrorlist-7
enabled=1
gpgcheck=0
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-livna
Repo rpm will release soon.

But the nvidia driver does not work. Screen is blinking and no terminál.
I use nv driver right now. Maybe fix later.

Update: Right now, there is no nVidia driver in linva!!! Hmm... strange.
Just wait for it.

The nvidia driver wont work because it doesn't support the F9 xorg server version ! ( it is possible to downgrade the xorg server to the F8 version instead ! )

thanks for that... going to use the nv drivers for now. I don't think compiz works with that driver. Am I right?

f9 just been released so I will just wait for the driver to come out.

Then install xorg-x11-server-Xorg F8 version, and nVidia driver?

An email of 5/13 to fedora-announce-list@redhat.org, in announcing the availability of the Livna repository for F9, notes the following:

Note: The graphics drivers from AMD and Nvidia are not available in the
standard repos, as they are known to not work with the X-Server 1.4.99
that is shipped with Fedora 9. Thus the drivers remain in the livna
testing repos for F9 -- that's a service for experienced users that know
all those complicated and dangerous things to work around the problem
(don't ask me how to do it; better stay on F8 for a while if you really
need those drivers). The drivers will be moved to the proper repos once
they support X-Server 1.4.99 (or newer).

In my earlier post, I forgot to answer the first of bakerboy26's two questions:

[QUOTE=bakerboy26]Hi all,

How can I get the Livna repo installed for f9?

A 5/13 email to fedora-announce-list@redhat.com contains instructions for the Livna repository for F9:

You can browse the repository at http://rpm.livna.org/fedora/9/ To make it available on a
freshly installed Fedora 9 system run the following
command:

{{{
$ su -c 'rpm -ivh http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release-9.rpm'
}}}
