Doom 3 - No Sound

I installed the native Linux binarys for Doom 3 and I have no sound. Here's the output from the terminal.

I don't have the game anymore so this is all I've got, try adding the code:

+set s_driver oss

when you call the app. It always worked for me.

Do you have Pulse Audio running? PA and id games don't cope well together.

I have Doom3 installed and running with sound, check that you are using the ALSA sound driver within Doom3. by default it is set to OSS.

Pulse Audio with ID Games generally results in sound lagging (haven't found a fix), not not working all together.
