Smile Installing java runtime environment on fedora core 5

I just installed java runtime environment on my fedora core 5 and the firefox will not start again, please can someone help me out?

Start firefox from terminal and you will get the error report.
Check it

Why bother with a EOL version of Fedora ?
FC5 has been unsupported for nearly 2 years now so try F8 instead !!

If you used the instructions on the Java website, your hard link is broken. It points to the wrong place. Also make sure you are accessing the correct directory/version. Surf into the actual directory and version you will be using, create the link right there from the right click menu, then move the link into the mozilla/plugins directory on your user account directory.
