Fedora 9 kde

With KDE live preview i see the same old bug on restart or shutdown. Something about energy save, and it's been there since 19 something
I didn't touch anything, no screensaver, no energy stuff, nothing, I restart and I see the same old bull, WHY? Gnome never bothers me about this...
Thank you!

screen shot or some log messages would help us determine why and what you are refering too. Thanks

The kde bug window flashes on, gone in a moment. I hit the pause key, the bug window turns black, the restart or logout stops, big mess. When kde 4 preview is on the plug icon in the lower bar is on, this is for a laptop, I have a desktop. Fedora 8 gnome and 9 kde starts something about acpi and 8254 bios bug, then runs ok.
This was amusing to a Apple mac studio, but getting stupid.
Thanks!
Oh! Thunderbird icon is beautiful in fedora 8.
AMD athlon 64, Geforce 7300GT, 2 gig ram on pc.

You need to use the boot option: noapic

I've had several boards (MSI-AMD) that have this problem. Manifests itself with power/sleep functions not working.
