Winter has returned

Three days ago we had no snow and it was sunny and warm.

No it is snowing fiercely and it is around -8 Celsius.

WINTER HAS RETURNED! It is the 20th of April and winter has already RETURNED!

Don't feel bad. We have had snow and hail down here in Oregon as well.

I'm loving it. I like the cold. It's hot days I despise.

Bottle up some of that "cold" and ship it down here to my house. We'll be needing some of that refridgerent pretty soon as it's forcast to be nudging up against the 90 degree F mark by later in this week here in central FL.

kona0197 sez: "I like the cold. It's hot days I despise."

My sentiments exaclty.

Paul

Paul - move up here to Oregon. All the cold you can handle unless you want it all year round in that case Alaska is calling your name.

Too much danged rain in Oregon/Washington, at least in the western half of the states, for my taste. I was up in western NC a couple of weekends ago for a mountain bike race event and was thinking how much that area would so much better suit me.

You could always move to central Oregon.

I love the rain myself.

Funny you mention mountain biking. I'm a mountain biking nutcase. What do you ride? I currently have a Giant.

See me and my current ride at this url:

http://www.goneriding.com/2007/RB/Ra....P/html/15.htm

This pic was taken at the end of Oct of '07, on the last weekend of operation at Razorback Mountain Bike Park (north of Ocala, FL). I worked there for 8 years. I sorely miss that job. Besides the "classic" DBR axtt pro ti hardtail you see in the pic, I own two Jamis rides: my 1st bike, a '92 Diablo chrome-moly full rigid and a '96 Dakar Team full suspension, which I won as a grand prize while racing back in '96..

edit: Oh, yeah, my wifes bike is a Kona... really

I don't want to rub it in too much but it is about 65 F here in Boston. Still sunny, beautiful day. I did some shopping and went for a nature walk. Monday is a holiday so I am just going to sleep in and make some waffles for the family.

You aren't rubbing it in. I enjoy cold weather as I said. You can keep that sunshine to yourself.

Paul - I never have cared for Ti framed bikes. Too flexible. BTW where are your disc brakes in that pic?

Sorry - no bikes of my new ride yet.

One of fav rides was a Kona. Hence my avatar.

Damn, I like it warm but 80+ is too hot for me. I like the seasonal changes in New England. We go from shoveling snow to suntanning at the beach in just a couple of months.
