Angry XServer wont start anymore

Okay, So here is what I did:

I was down at the library and thought it would be a good idea to use an extra monitor there to do some homework and make life a little easier(I was wrong). I went in and changed the display to the dual monitor. (BTW I am running compiz-fusion) Then it said I need to restart X-server to get the other monitor to work. After I do that it has the text that says username: and tries to start the GUI. After a few attempts it tells me it failed to start the X-Server. I can log in and do things without using the GUI. But I do not know how to switch that back to one monitor instead of two using the console.

Hopefully someone can help. I am being forced to use Vista (ick) to search on how to fix this problem. I even had to use Vista to redo the homework I had started.

Thanks,

Paul
