Rhythmbox crashes after using EasyTag

I was editing some ID3 information in my MP3 collection using EasyTag and now I can't use Rhythmbox. It opens for a split second and then closes again. Rebooting has not hepled either.

Rhythmbox was open while I was editing the ID3 information if that helps.

Any thoughts on how to trouble shoot this problem?

Yeah, run rhythmbox in debug mode. Open a terminal and do

Code:

rhythmbox --debug

This way you should be able to get some useful information about what is causing the crash.

Tried that. Received a whole bunch of lines like the following:

"[0x82a6e38] [rhythmdb_query_model_poll] rhythmdb-query-model.c:902 (11:57:52): i nserting 1 rows"

and then the last one:

"[0x82a6e38] [rhythmdb_query_model_poll] rhythmdb-query-model.c:902 (11:57:52): i nserting 1 rows
Segmentation fault"

Perhaps I just need to clear the rhythmbox database and reimport my library. No man pages though.

Clearing the library will cause the loss of everything, including ratings, which is a big deal for me. But sure. You can delete it. But first, try to ask in #rhythmbox at irc.gimp.org . The people there are really friendly, and most of them know a lot about rhythmbox. I'm sure they'll be able to help you.
