compiz-fusion - Losing some cube setting after reboot

I have just installed fedora 8 and have followed the guide to install compiz-fusion. I am enabling it on startup by using the command fusion-icon. I go into settings manager and set everything up the way I want. When I reboot I am losing my cubecaps and skydome image. Every time I reboot I have to go back into the settings manager and un-check the skydome checkbox (which is checked) and then re-check it?! For the cub caps I have to check the Scale image checkbox and then uncheck it. It starts working

any ideas

thanks
