FC8 (64) Dual-Layer DVD burning support?

All,

I've got two dual-layer burners installed on my machine, neither of them work. The most recent drive I put in is this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827151153 (which you can see has the 12X DVD+R DL specification)

When I scan the drives (command line or XCDRoast) I get the following output:

Whenever I pop in a blank DVD+R DL (I have a Verbatim stack), it just comes up "CD-ROM Disc" on the Gnome desktop. Whenever I try to write data to it with cdrecord, XCDRoast or just using the Gnome "CD/DVD Creator Folder", I always get the following message (no matter how many blank DVDs I try it with):

I have no pending updates via yum (or pup) and even have livna installed.

Is there anything special I need to install or set up to get the dual-layer support set up?

Try this two programs

su -l

yum install brasero k3b

Basero actually gives me a better error message:

The medium is not writable with the current set of plugins.

So it seems I'm definitely missing something.

I installed gnomebaker and it seems to be running OK. It has 20 minutes remaining to write, and hopefully it won't throw up. We'll see, though.

I'm still not sure what's up with the Nautilus burner, but oh well.
