I want to report this in bugzilla, so that it may be fixed in upstream GNOME or Firefox (which ever is at fault). For some time now I have noticed that the save dialog spawned from Firefox (regular GNOME file-save dialog) behaves somewhat erratically. Particularly what I see is that when a link or a "save target as" right click command triggers the file-save dialog and I navigate to where I want to save the file, the name for the file to save as is replaced as soon as I get to the folder I'm looking for (the name is also selected and gets erased). This is not a critical problem, but certainly quite annoying, which has been running in the GNOME desktop for quite a while. I have not noticed this problem wit other programs (as usually the save-as command brings up this dialog, with an empty name string or a predefined string) but when spawn from Firefox it always erases the name of the file to be saved.
Now, if I am to report this on bugzilla, under what component would you put it? Firefox? GNOME?
